Alexa Chung at Glastonbury 2013

Alexa Chung's style is being favoured once again, as for the second year in a row she has been voted as the festival fashion queen.

With the most eagerly-anticipated event in the UK festival calendar kicking off this week, Glastonbury of course, the research also reveals that British women now spend a whopping £234 snapping up the latest festival trends – almost £90 more than last year.

Nearly two thirds of Brits stated their look is influenced by their favourite celebrities, and this year it’s the UK’s biggest stars dominating at the top of the festival fash-pack.

Alexa Chung’s effortless style was voted the top look to emulate this season, with Sienna Miller close behind and pipping Kate Moss to the post to take second place with her laid back boho style. The UK’s most famous supermodel took the third spot, closely followed by red carpet favourite Emma Watson with Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh completing the top five.

Brit’s number one trend for the 2014 festival season is a slogan T-shirt, a favourite with stars such as Cara Delevingne. If the weather holds out then a pair of quirky sunglasses are a must-have and feature second on the list of priority purchases ahead of Glastonbury. This is followed by a novelty print dress in third place and a bang-on-trend midi-dress in fourth place, whilst practical high top trainers complete the top five.

Anita Naik, consumer editor at VoucherCodes.co.uk says: “Festival season is getting bigger every year and with all eyes on celebrity festival fashion it’s no wonder British women are feeling the pressure to look stylish. There are lots of expenses attached to attending a music festival, so saving money on your camping gear or your festival wardrobe means you’ll have more to spend when you arrive.
