Sarah Jessica Parker swapped her Manolo Blahniks for hooves shaped boots when she stepped out in New York on Tuesday.
The boots feature a slit in the toe area which appears to separate the big toe from the other four. They feature a raffia style small heel.
The crazy ankle boots were designed by Belgian-born Martin Margiela and he has also designed a range of pumps and sneakers in a similar style.
From the knees up the outfit looked like the perfect casual style for a cold day with a long blue trench coat, white scarf, super sized shades and the obligatory designer bag but it was the black boots that had everyone talking and SJP seemed keen to show them off as she paired them with skinny jeans turned up at the hems.
It's an unfortunate choice of shoes for a woman often compared to a horse but if anyone can turn the boots into a major trend its SJP!
