Sarah Jessica Parker in Balmain
Sarah Jessica Parker made our best dressed list back in November for the black Balmain dress she wore to the New York City Ballet and the gorgeous number has finally filtered down to the high street.
We loved the spiderweb effect the net and bead detail gave the sleeves and hem on the Balmain dress. It's a great subtle way to do sparkles.
Renewal have re-worked the dress, leaving out the silver beads, probably a good thing now that the party season has been and gone for another year, but if you like the beads you could always do a DIY job and sew a few on yourself!
It has the same simple black shape with cobweb style sleeves but is no doubt considerably cheaper at £50 from Urban Outfitters.
The Renewal dress is pieced together from old vintage frocks and is limited edition and each item is unique, so it's pretty safe that you won't run into many girls in the same outfit.

Follow SJP's lead and wear it with a stack of silver bracelets and silver and black heels, probably not Balenciaga like hers though. You can't win everything!
