Peaches Geldof

Peaches Geldof has been given a makeover by a group of grandmas who work in charity shops.

The model and TV presenter was styled at London Fashion Week in second-hand clothes by style guru Mary Portas and pensioners.

They kitted label lover Peaches in a fifties-style red dress, which had been donated by one of the charity shops Portas had recently been working with.

Portas has been a key figure in the reinvention of charity shops, helping out Save the Children, MIND, Barnardo's and North London Hospice over the past six months.

She told The Press Association: "I brought my style volunteers up to London Fashion Week to give a message to the fashion world that charity shopping is not just great for the environment and for a good cause. These are places where you can get unique, fashionable outfits that are on trend and look great."

Portas and her pensioners also gave makeovers to supermodel Erin O'Connor, Natalie Press and DJ Jodie Harsh.
