Margherita Missoni is probably best known for her family name, as opposed to her career as an aspiring actress or model. However, that said, it's her style which has been making headlines of late and we think she's a definite one to watch.
She recently moved to New York, following relocation from Italy to pursue acting. In addition to this she has appeared in many Missoni campaigns and is currently on an advert for Missoni perfume.
Before she appeared in the fashion campaigns, Missoni was made an ambassador of the brand, which included attending any fashion related events and promoting the label, founded my her grandparents.
While doing her duty for the brand, she also came to the public's attention for her quirky and unique sense of fashion and style. This later became reinforced when she moved into acting and started to attend glitzy premieres and award ceremonies.
She also started to make regular appearances in fashion, health and beauty magazines as her profile started to rise away from just the world of fashion, although this is still what she is mainly associated with.
Most recently, however Missoni was featured in Jean Genetâs controversial The Maids, based on a true story of two maids who kill their mistress, to critical acclaim.
However, it was her attendance at The Garden of Eden premiere in Rome a few weeks ago that really showed off her fashion credentials. Wearing some rusty coloured harem trousers, a smart grey tailored jacket and simple white vest top- her casual look stole the show.
We can't think of anyone else who could pull off such a tricky colour combination either, proof if nothing else that this lady is a true fashion one to watch.
