Madonna

Madonna

It feels like we've been going on about this forever, but Madonna has finally been confirmed for a second season at Louis Vuitton!

We know, it's not exactly new but now that the LV chiefs have actually told us the rumours are true, we can get down to business and decide whether Madonna is actually a good choice for the fashion house.

Her toyboy antics and legs akimbo shots from her last ad campaign certainly caught our eye, but does she have what it takes to make it for a second season?

It seems her reputation has taken a bit of a battering recently too, what with her failed adoption attempt in Malawi and her on/off relationship with model Jesus Luz.

She was even accused of helping him land lucrative modelling jobs, by calling in favours and using her fashion connections to get him work, although this is something she strongly denies.

Despite this, Jesus is rumoured to be starring alongside her in the new Louis Vuitton ads, which does beg the question- would he have got the gig if his relationship with Madonna hadn't come into the public eye?

Well, possibly as Marc Jacobs is apparently a big fan of his work, and has even reportedly written a letter of support for him staying in the country.

All this scandal aside, Madonna is in terrific shape at the moment, granted, but do we really want to see a 50-year-old woman flaunting her flesh in fishnets, with her legs wide open? Erm, let us think about that...

She's stylish and she is a great role model for people over a certain age, but is she fashion royalty? because arguably that's what you have to be to star in such a lucrative and respected ad campaign.

It will be interesting to see what Miesel has in store for the star this time round though, especially if Jesus is involved. Who could forget those raunchy poses she struck with her naked toyboy for W magazine a couple of months ago?!

No, we're still not entirely convinced about Madonna's suitability for the brand, but if anyone can make it work, Marc Jacobs can.

That said, we'd like to see him pair up with Victoria Beckham again, or maybe Heidi Klum as they've both been spotted in Marc's Spicy shoe for the brand recently.

But until he sees fit to make a new appointment, we guess we're stuck with Madonna for a second season, but the question remains- does she have enough pulling power to be a success once again?

We'll leave that up to you to decide...
