Lily Allen My Clothes Line Will Better Moss's

Singer Lily Allen has hit out at Kate Moss' fashion collection insisting her own range for a rival high street store will be more successful.

Moss launched her designs for British chain store Topshop last week, a week before Allen's Lily Loves range for New Look is unveiled, but Allen isn't scared of the competition.

She says, "I've seen a couple of pieces - they look cool. Would I wear them? Me, personally? I don't think I'd fit in them.

"All my dresses are super-girly but that doesn't mean you have to be a size zero. The more curves the better! Fashion is for everyone, not just a load of super-skinny models."

Meanwhile Moss herself was so scared her first clothing range would be poorly received, she hid behind a shop mirror.

The catwalk beauty launched her trendy line for British high street giant Topshop on Monday (30Apr07), but confesses she wasn't sure how it would go down with shoppers.

To gauge their reaction she secretly stowed herself behind a full-length looking glass until she was confident her designer career had got off to a strong start.

She says, "I was actually scared that they wouldn't like them. I really wanted to see how they reacted and I'm happy with how it went."

The model unveiled the range by posing as a mannequin in Topshop's flagship store on Oxford Street, London
