Kate Moss in Balmain AW09
Kate Moss has become the latest celebrity to sample the wonder that is Balmain, by stepping out in this Space Age creation from the label's autumn/winter '09 collection.
For once Mossy wasn't the style leader with this fashion obsession, but she is the first to sample the glitzy dress from the Parisian label, so she does claim back some credibility for that.
As for the dress itself, well it's certainly eye catching and against our better judgement, we actually really like this look, as it works well on Kate.
Exaggerated shoulders are set to be massive this summer and will carry on into autumn later this year, so once again Kate is bang on trend, teaming her look with black opaques and patent high-heels.
She is just the latest in a long line of celebrities experiencing Balmania at the moment, with recent fans including Victoria Beckham, Michael Jackson, Beyonce and Jennifer Connelly.
It seems as though the label have struck a chord between fashion's next big thing, and making their clothing contemporary too, so although the massive shoulders may initially not be very appealing, you should at least give it a go.
Clearly Mossy knows what's in style, and whatever she wears, surely more fashion wannabes will follow, although we suspect this may be quite a different look to pull off, if you're not a skinny minnie like Kate.
That said, even the miniature Kate had a bit of trouble with her Balmain beauty, as it ripped by the end of the night, leaving a large amount on flesh on display! Oh dear.
If you do decide this is the style for you however, then we have just one word of warning- get in on this look now, before Balmain is trashed from Z-listers trying to sample the look!
