Kate Moss

Kate Moss

Yes, we know she's hardly original, but Kate is kick starting our new 'Muse of the Month' feature here at FemaleFirst, because this has arguably been one of her busiest fashion months to date.

A new fashion range for Topshop, a rumoured pregnancy, a glamorous new look, a new hairstyle and several new ear piercings, mean it has been impossible to escape Ms. Moss this month, so we have officially awarded her the 'muse' status for March.

Kate caused a sensation during Paris Fashion Week, having been notably absent from the New York, London and Milan shows, so it's understandably that the world's press went mad for her.

Forget Freida Pinto and Claudia Schiffer sitting FROW, all anybody was interested in was Kate. Sporting a new two-toned hair do and a face almost free of make-up, the supermodel looked stunning, making headlines all around the world.

First it was all about her new glammed up look, as opposed to the scruffy hobo style she's been championing recently, then the press moved onto her new hair, which was apparently the hottest thing since sliced bread.

Yes, two-toned hair will now undoubtedly be the look for the summer all thanks to Kate, and that messy bun will also be seen on every self-respecting fashionista out there too.

After lying low (well, as low as Kate can) following all those pregnancy rumours, emerging from the shadows and stealing the limelight is what she does best, and appearing at Chanel is about as high-profile a comeback as you can make.

The day after the show she was spotted wearing pieces from Chanel's latest AW09 collection, less than 12 hours after it debuted on the runway; one of the perks of being such good friends with Karl Lagerfeld we imagine.

Following her whirlwind appearance in Paris, Kate returned to her partying ways to dispel those baby rumours once and for all, appearing at three different events on consecutive nights.

If that wasn't enough to get people talking, the ever so fashionable Moss decided to wear her new YSL tuxedo jacket for all three events, which puzzled the style critics and redefined the fashion rules as we know them.

Apparently you can wear the same outfit twice, or three times as the case may be for Kate. She first wore it while shooting a mysterious campaign in Paris a few weeks ago, sparking speculation that she may about to become a YSL girl.

Alas, that's one campaign she hasn't got locked down for this season, but that hasn't stopped her going full steam ahead with other fashion projects.

Namely her ninth collection with Topshop, which makes its debut later this week in shops and online. Having seen a sneak peak of what she's got in store, we have to say we're not exactly blown away, and some of the price tags are sure to make your eyes water.

But, this is Kate and her stuff always sells, so we can forsee this being another great success for the supermodel and Topshop boss, Sir Philip Green.

Our last little style snippet which has made us take notice of Kate this month is her unusual fetish with earring jewellery. The style icon debuted her new six stud look last week to a stunned fashion pack.

Aside from the very red and sore looking ear, we quite liked her look until she teamed it with a leopard print coat however, as then she just resembled a chavvy teenager. Not cool Ms Moss, so not cool.

If you improve your style a bit over the coming weeks, we may let you back in our 'Muse Hall of Fame' once again in future. Until then, we're officially on the lookout for a new 'Muse for the Month for April. Any takers?!
