Kate Mosss Topshop collection has sparked a plus size backlash in the states.
The supermodel unveiled the range at Barneys department store in New York last week but she is coming under criticism for the sizing of the clothes.
According to reports the clothes that sold out in Barneys were sized 2- 8, which is the equivalent of a UK size 6-12.
Although there is bigger sizes available on- line (US size 12, Uk size 16) they are not available on all items. A spokesperson for Topshop declined to comment on the sizing issue.
However fashion critics at on-line site catwalk queen said:" Very few people in this world have a bum small enough to pull off a tiny pair of sailor-button striped hot pants."
We actually love the shorts despite the fact they will suit about 1 per cent of the country. I'm tempted to suggest Topshop don't make them in any bigger sizes (as much as I love my curves I understand they don't look good in everything). This is definitely a piece for slim, confident women."
