Is Kate Mosss new collection for Topshop a big con?
Hundreds of women got caught up in the hysteria surrounding the launch of the fashion icons clothes range on Monday.
Once inside the store, which opened from 8pm to midnight, shoppers were only allowed to try on eight outfits and purchase a maximum of five items.
Some of the popular items including a pansy print dress for £45 sold out straight away and is already fetching bids of £150 on eBay.
However fashion writer Liz Jones felt that she - along with most of the women there- had been seduced by the tremendous amount of hype around Mosss collection.
She told the Mail:" The morning after, in a series of e-mails, all the shoppers I spoke to on Monday night were feeling rather ridiculous that they had bought into such a clever marketing ploy, and queued for up to five hours to get their hands on a few scraps of denim and polyester. "
