Yummy mummy Gwen Stefani has always been known for her wild rock chick style, as well as her sultry vocals. How did she manage to work some bizarre fashion and still be given a style icon status?
Well, her experimentation with fashion during her No Doubt days shouldn't of worked, but strangely did. And her crazy twisted mini hair buns, jewelled forehead accessories and antique tea dresses proved a huge hit with the fashion pack and music world alike.
Gwen's rock star peroxide hair do, teamed with pale skin and blood red lipstick was also pretty fashion forward, with some catwalk collections even drawing inspiration from her unique look.
It was No Doubt's huge hit, Don't Speak that propelled Gwen to superstardom, and she also managed to re-ignite our passion for charity shop hunting, with her gorgeous blue vintage dress, which she later revealed as a charity shop find.
Even when she went solo, she upped her extreme style, teaming cropped tartan trousers with men's braces and ties and rocking a new quiff look which was copied the world over.
Her ability to work most things have made Gwen a true style icon, even if sometimes we wouldn't be seen dead in what she wears. Who could forget her Alice in Wonderland look for 'What are you waiting for? It was inspiring and it was quirky, but would we wear it outside the house? Nope!
Now that she's settled down with her hubby and kids, her style off stage has relaxed a bit and she's developed a more mature fashion sense. We loved her recent outing in a sparkly black frock teamed with Marilyn Monroe-esque hair and pink lips; the epitome of elegance.
We here at FemaleFirst hope that Gwen continues to give us some fabulous new fashion inspiration, even if it is a bit 'out there'. Let's face it, it wouldn't be Gwen if it was standard fashion now would it?
