He may be busy promoting his lastest plan to get the nation looking great, but the ever-stylish Gok Wan took some time out to talk about Miss Naked Beauty, the credit crunch and his plans for 2009. Gok is hitting the road across England to share his secrets to looking good on a budget. He has teamed up with 3 Mobile's campaign to 'Trim Your Waste', showing women everywhere how to make the most of your wardrobe.

How does it feel to be named one of the UK's most-loved television personalities?

It lovely! The thing is I got so embarrassed but it's gorgeous because everyones so nice. Everyday I get to do what I love and get paid for it! Everyones really nice to me, its absolutely lovely. I love it, I'm just being me!

Miss Naked Beauty has just finished on television, how do you feel it all went?

It was good, we did raise quite a lot of controversy through doing it. But we knew it was going to, because we were challenging peoples perceptions of what they think is beautiful, and that hadn't been done before. It fits in really with the naked brand, because its all about empowerment and people realising they are beautiful, no matter what there size or shape.I think the revolution has really begun. I loved doing it and I'm so proud of it.

Shona Collins was named Miss Naked Beauty, why do you think she won?

I think she's very accessible and people could just relate to her. I think she's obviously very bright and very articulated. We thought her age might play against her at the beginning, but she showed she wanted to develop and grow into the role of Miss Naked Beauty. She's a bright, bright young spark, I wish I was more like her when I was her age!

Have you spoke to Shona lately, what's she up to?

I saw her a couple of weeks ago, I've been busy because I'm on tour at the moment. But I saw her a couple of weeks ago and she's all good. She's been in and out doing bits and bobs, and she's really getting herself ready for the Naked show and spreading the message.

The next series of Fashion Fix is coming up next year. Can you tell us who you have lined up?

I can't tell you that!

But you must be excited?

Yes, I am! We've got some very big names coming along. I think we were very lucky with the first series. We're changing it up a little bit, but we've got some really good people coming on board. I think it's going to be a really good show, I'm very excited and can't wait for it to start!

So, what else do you have lined up for 2009?

Well, in January I've got a documentary coming out which I've done. It's all about child obesity, which is going to be good. Then, I'm back onto Fashion Fix and then we're back on to How to Look Good Naked. So, its all kind of busy already!

How to Look Good Naked has is international now. How does it feel that it has had so much success?

Its amazing, I think we're almost in every continent now, which is brilliant. Its really quite strange having people coming up to you in Polish and saying we love your show and we watch it back home. Its amazing, I never ever realised that when we did the first episode the show would be so successful. Sometimes I have to pinch myself, it's fantastic!

So, Gok what is your favourite item of clothing at the moment?

Well, I've just bought myself a new bag. I love it and I haven't even taken it out of the box yet! That has to be my favourite, just because it's new and I haven't used it yet!

If you could give anyone one of your fabulous style makeovers who would it be?

Probably Vicky Pollard! In fact I might try and contact the Little Britain boys and say come on let me give Vicky Pollard a make-over!

What are your top tips for a fashionable Christmas and New Year?

With the credit crunch hitting, I think its all about re-inventing what you've already got. You can't go wrong with the little black dress, and it's all about how you can adapt that dress to make the most out of it.

If you could take a peek into anyones wardrobe whose would it be?

Maybe Sarah Jessica Parker, only because I'm completely obsessed with her. I would love to see what she has actually got in there and see if I can find any clangers! I'm sure she has some in there!

Finally Gok, how will you be spending Christmas this year?

Well, I'm going home and switching the mobile phone off! Just going spending some time with the family! It's going to be fantastic!

Well, have a great time and Merry Christmas from everyone at FemaleFirst!
