Reports were full of praise for Gemma Arterton and her apparent weight-loss at Sunday night's BAFTA celebration, following the publication of those most unflattering photos a few weeks ago.
You know the ones we're talking about, the pictures which caused an uproar among fashionistas because Gemma appeared to have sprouted a double chin over night.
Her once shining reputation for being svelte and toned now hung in the balance, because horror of horrors she had put on a bit of weight and it was photographed for the whole world to see.
We're honestly not convinced she even had a double chin in the first place, it could of just been a bad angle that unfortunately for Gemma, showed her in a not-so-flattering light.
We'll be the first to admit slating Gemma on occasions for her fashion choices, but even we were shocked at how people laid into the 22-year-old regarding her 'jowly chin'.
Even though critics were quick to point out her weight loss on Sunday, they didn't mention Gemma's hideous choice of dress, which aged her by about ten years, not to mention her old fashioned hair-do and caked on make-up.
Perhaps it was a nervous reaction considering her last BAFTA appearance, only a few weeks earlier had ended in nothing but criticism and unflattering reports about her weight.
After she shot to fame in St Trinian's in 2007, her appearance in last year's Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, opposite Daniel Craig really saw her acting career take off.
With that sort of fame comes a price however, and it appears Gemma is now learning that. You can't be photographed in public looking anything other than perfect, and a double chin is of course a no-no.
How many of us have experienced a bad picture thanks to a moment of dropping our composure and having a laugh? That's exactly what Gemma did and she was unfairly scrutinised for it.
We think she's a great acting talent and a stunningly pretty girl flying the flag for Britain, but you also have to remember that she is young and will make many fashion, beauty and hair mistakes before she learns her own sense of style.
That said, to condemn her for one photo, in a moment where she genuinely seemed to be having a good time seems a tad unfair to us, what do you think?
