Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore

Sorry Kate, you have been well and truly topped this month by Drew Barrymore, who wholeheartedly deserves our muse award thanks to her fabulous retro style, love of designer labels and a beauty look to-die-for.

Drew's not always been the most fashion forward in the past, but her recent transformation has proved just how much she has changed, and we have to admit, it's a change for the better.

This month it's been hard to ignore Ms. Barrymore, as she has quite literally cropped up everywhere, sporting a fab new frock, on-trend lippy, or a pair of amazing heels to grab our eye.

It all started when she turned up to her Grey Garden's premiere earlier this month, rocking a gorgeous flapper style, which was utterly gorgeous and managed to get rave reviews from the fashion pack.

Clearly taking some inspiration from the golden age of Hollywood, Drew glammed it up to the max in a nude embellished Alberta Ferretti gown, Fred Leighton jewels, Roger Vivier heels and a netted flower hair accessory.

Drew's newly dyed blonde locks, paired with her pale skin and body to-die-for, completed her style transformation that she has been steadily undergoing over the past few years.

Even her hair and make-up were a season ahead of everyone else! Working the dark plum lipstick with smudged eyes and red nails were a totally style triumph and we loved this sophisticated look on Drew.

It was just the start of Drew's new found fashion fame however, as a few days later she was spotted filming for the David Letterman show, wearing a black off-the-shoulder Giambattista Valli dress with dramatic oversized puffed sleeves.

The eighties look is a huge trend for the summer ahead, and clearly Drew was wanting to get one step ahead of the fashion pack with her choice.

She accessorised the gorgeous dress with some ivory and black Giuseppe Zanotti heels, while keeping her make-up flawlessly pale, with only a touch of red lipstick to compliment her look.

Just when we thought we'd seen it all, Drew then completed a style hat trick by sampling the tribal trend, in her spring '09 Andrew Gn embellished maxi dress for a premiere in LA.

She even invested in an expensive blowout do for the occasion, which was reminiscent of her bouffant hairstyle from this year's Golden Globes, which again was another fashion triumph for the star.

Then there was her fab bold beauty looks at Coachella only last week, which made us glow with pride at Drew's awesome transformation from clueless wannabe into total style starlet.

Continue the good work Drew and you may well find yourself our muse for next month too!
