There was a sea of blue (it was there for the taking) dresses at last night's Critics' Choice Movie Awards last night.
Nina Dobrev, Amanda Seyfried, Octavia Spencer, Famke Janssen and Emmy Rossum all opted for a different hue.
Nina looked stunning in her Monique Lhuillier Spring 2013 cocktail dress.
The Vampire Diaries actress had an amazing run of red carpet looks last year, and if this is anything to go buy she's set for another stylish year.
The turquoise blue dress features a keyhole design on the chest, fits in at the waist and goes out for a tulip-style skirt. The gem-filled dress looks just beautiful on the actress.
She paired the dress with simple black heels ensuring she didn't distract from the design and kept her hair and make-up simple, but still beautiful.
Amanda Seyfried chose a piece from London-based designer Marios Schwab's Spring 2013 collection.
Another interesting piece from the blonde actress, who isn't afraid of taking risks on the red carpet.
The dress is split into two with a lace top half and a flowing chiffon pleated skirt. I love the contrast of materials.
She paired the look with Roger Vivier strappy sandals, a slicked-back top knot, cat eyes and Lorraine Schwartz earrings.
As always I look forward to what she brings next to the red carpet.
Emmy Rossum went bold in her Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2013 gown.
The sleeveless gown nips in at the waist and features a stunning consellation print all over, with crystal stars on the shoulders and waistband.
The Shameless star went for Old Hollywood with her curls and flawless make-up completed the look.
Octavia Spencer chose her go-to designer Tadashi Shoji and like before it was a winning combination.
The custom-made knee-length dress features cap sleeves and has intricate lace appliqué across the sleeve and bodice. The pleated and draping detail under the bust is super flattering for Octavia's figure.
Finally, Famke Janssen went for a bold John Galliano Fall 2012 gown.
The teal blue dress features sheer panelling along the side with ruffles and shimmering layers falling from the shoulders down to the floor.
Whilst I do think the sheer panelling was a little bit off, she looed beautiful none-the-less. I suppose it helps that she has the model pose perfected.
Which was your favourite blue dress of the evening?
