Avril Lavigne has unveiled a new sexier look on the front cover of Arena magazine.

The tomboy singer has got rid of her trademark jeans and boots and swapped them for tight shorts and stilettos. The 22 year old ‘ skater girl’ said in an interview with the magazine that she has ‘ finally grown up.’

She said;" When I look back, all I can think is, ‘ God I was such a s***.’ I was such a tomboy, getting into fights, hanging out with guys."

Lavigne, who married guitarist Deryck Whibley last year, still insists she is a kid at heart.

She added:" I’ll were tight pants or heels, whereas before I was like, "There is no way you’re getting me into a skirt.’ I still have a rock n’ roll look… "

"I’m just more rock –glam these days."
