There's no doubt that some of the world's most gorgeous supermodels have their own individual sense of style, but what exactly does it say about them as people?
Well, quite a lot as we've discovered, as they go through more style changes than the high-street each season, and it's all to do with keeping up with the fashion trends before they hit the mainstream.
This applies to the newer generation of models, who all seem to have a grungy glam style going on at the moment, reminiscent to Madonna's 1980s Like A Virgin look.
Classic supermodels like Helena Christensen, Claudia Schiffer and Linda Evangelista have no doubt experimented with fashion during their wilder younger days, but now they prefer to simplify their look with classic pieces.
Each decade there is undoubtedly one supermodel which stands out in your mind, simply because they grabbed all the headlines, maybe walked a lot of runways, or more often than not became a fashion icon for a new generation of kids.
The 90s in our view belonged to Kate Moss and the 00s is now the stomping ground of Agyness Deyn, as there has yet to be another model to challenge her success both commercially and on the catwalk.
So with this in mind, here's some of our fave models and their style dissected, so you can see exactly what they're all about...
Agyness Deyn: Bag Lady Chic
Oh Agyness, you really do like to mix it up with your fashion don't you?! This lady wears anything and everything together and doesn't care about the consequences. She's a style leader, someone who takes control of her own look and doesn't let anyone mess with it, which we think is quite refreshing to see in the modelling industry. Get away with it while you can Aggy, because this look won't work when you hit your thirties.
Kate Moss: Smart Boho
Kate is the queen of reinvention and seems to move with the times quicker than anyone in the fashion world. She was the first to champion Boho, faded denim and fringed accessories, and now she's working the sophisticated tailored look to perfection. Kate's new fashion direction means she's starting to grow up a bit and take herself more seriously, but the messy hair and minimal make-up shows she's still pretty playful at heart.
Claudia Schiffer: Grown Up Glam
Claudia opts for a more sophisticated look these days when she's off duty, preferring to rock tailored trousers and fitted shirts, as opposed to bum skimming mini-dresses that she still sports for fashion shoots. We love that age hasn't dented this blonde beauty a tad and she still looks as good now as she did 10 years ago, but clearly as she approaches the big 4-0 she's trying to tone down her look with more simplistic pieces.
Helena Christensen: Elegance Redefined
Helena has been championing a lot of maxi dresses recently, which suggests she's trying to find a compromise between turning 40 and still rocking the latest trends. Despite the length change, she's still flashing plenty of flesh on the red carpet and in fashion shoots, as she was recently pictured in Harper's Bazaar seducing Ed Westwick in suspenders. Ooo, saucy!
Heidi Klum: Trend Queen
Heidi is one of the first to be pictured in the new trends, as soon as they debut on the runway, which we suspect is a perk that comes with being one of the world's most beautiful supermodels. Heidi hasn't really changed her look in the past few years, and is still opting for tight dresses and revealing clothes, and to be fair if she has the body to work them, why shouldn't she still flash the flesh?!
