The Victoria Beckham Spring Summer 14 collection has still left us in a flutter, the whole thing was truly beautiful.
Thankfully, Victoria herself has of course been wearing pieces from the collection already. Giving us some great style inspiration for next season.
But, what we're really here to talk about is the beauty look.
Max Factor make-up artist Pat McGrath created the beauty look for the showcase, and she's revealed the products she used to create the look. THE LOOK: Ultra-polished, understated glamour. The truest of nudes on the lips – ‘Always Delicate’ directional, chic and long-lasting, reflecting the SS14 trend for a shade that delivers a coveted, contemporary full lip look. Modern and fresh, it is part of a new spring/summer collection of Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Colour shades – the ‘Ready-to-Wear collection’ - handpicked by Pat McGrath (released in spring 2014). Lips were complemented by warm, copper tones on the eyes and radiant skin.
“So many women struggle to find the right nude shade to recreate this signature, super-polished and enduring nude lip look – or they think they have to ditch the lipstick, which is absolutely not what this Victoria Beckham SS14 look is about. This is refined, sophisticated make-up. And we have the ultimate nude – Always Delicate! Totally wearable, for all skin tones, and on-trend, it’s a shade preview from my Ready-to-Wear Lipfinity Lip Colour collection for Max Factor – 11 gorgeous shades of long-lasting lip colour”, Pat McGrath, Max Factor Global Creative Design Director
THE SHOW INSPIRATION: The aesthetics of modern architecture and the merging of boyish versus girlish sensibilities: the exploring of new proportions and silhouettes, streamlined and balanced shapes and lines, and the juxtaposition of masculine elements and feminine perspectives.

The skin: Pat firstly created natural, perfected and radiant skin with Max Factor Whipped Creme Foundation, using a brush to sweep the Crème onto the skin, building up the foundation for a flawless finish. Pat says, “This foundation is perfect for this ultra-sophisticated look as it creates a beautifully matte base but which allows for a radiance to shine through, which I call a super-modern demi-matte look”. Next, Pat used Max Factor Master Touch Concealer to cover any small skin imperfections using her fingertips, with the foundation and concealer together creating the perfected skin.
The eyes: Complementing the skin was a flush of warm copper to the eyes. To create this soft hued pop of colour, Pat blended three tones together using Max Factor Wild Shadow Pot in Burnt Bark, Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Murano and Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Copper. Pat explains, “Combining all three creates a really beautiful deep copper with a creamy consistency and a gorgeous sheen, which is what gives the eyes this super-modern totally wearable twist. The colour intensity is there but in a way that doesn’t overpower the look; it’s simple, fresh and interesting.” Pat used a brush to apply the shadow, allowing the colour to be built gradually to let the copper colour pop. Next, Pat gently dabbed with her fingertips Max Factor Master Color Precision Eye Shadow in Pearl Beige into the corners of the eyes, to highlight and accentuate around the eyes.
The lips: Finally, lips were dressed in the ultimate True Nude hue using Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Colour in Always Delicate, a creamy shade that added a slick of natural, girlish beauty for a fuller lip look. As Pat describes, “so often I hear women saying they’ve never found the right nude shade as they struggle to find one that has enough colour without being too ‘done’ and which lasts on the lips. This shade in Always Delicate is new and it’s amazing in that it delivers just the right depth of neutrality and depth; it’s such a soft, creamy and contemporary shade, and with fabulous staying power.”
