Backstage at the Victoria Beckham showcase
Victoria Beckham’s newest collection has already been greeted with rave reviews and whilst we may have to wait a while for the clothes to hit the stores we can get the hairstyle now.
The new collection sees Victoria Beckham launching her first ever knitwear collection, featuring her signature sophisticated slim-line style, A-line skirt shapes and drop shoulders using heavier fabrics.
Her looks, she said in her show notes, were about ‘refined quality within a mannish modernity’.
“The Victoria Beckham woman is sexy and sophisticated,” explains Guido Palau who led the hair team backstage using BaByliss PRO stylist tools.
To complement the collection Guido created a sexy, modern style which oozed ease and simplicity, a style taken from the street and recreated for the runway.
To achieve the look Guido used the BaByliss PRO Volare Hairdryer, using his fingers instead of a brush to create a straight finish with texture.
“The Volare Hairdryer is superfast! It has an extremely powerful motor, drying the hair quickly so it’s less damaging.”
He then pulled the hair into a ponytail, leaving pieces loose around the face, some with the ear poking out.
Guido says: “The clothes are so designed and very luxurious so the hair had to be fresh and modern, thought-about ease.”
