Lee Stafford's a fan of dry shampoo

Back in the day, dry shampoo was on the dresser of every woman, in fact it's pretty safe to say that it ruled the 1980s. It was the answer to bad hair days and greasy roots until the regular blow-dry took over.

Now, however it has made a welcome return to the limelight, with Batiste even reinventing their packaging to make it cool and more appealing to the younger market.

Upscale and celebrity brands are also cashing in, with James Brown and Lee Stafford both launching their own dry shampoo brands.

Here's our pick for a quick fix...

Batiste Dry Shampoo, £1.99

The original and some say the best of all the dry shampoos out there. We say that it smells nice, especially with the new tropical and blush fragrances and that it is a cheap option for when you just can't be bothered to wash your hair.

Poker Straight Dry Shampoo By Lee Stafford, £4.99

A designer option, but without the heavy price tag. Stafford's shampoo helps to get more days from your blow dry between washes. It's great for oily roots and is specifically designed to extend the life of straightened hair.

Label M Dry Shampoo, £8.95

The priciest of the range, the weightless powder is used to refresh your hair and give it some oomph, without having to wash your hair. Perfect for creating a dry, matt texture with volume.
