New York Fashion Week is underway and along with plenty of fashion to be fawning over, there’s plenty of beauty too.
We’ve love these two nail looks created by the Essie teams at Veronica Beard and Lisa Perry.
Lisa Perry was inspired by the swinging 60s, with a collection full of graphic lined with bold pops of silver and green for the woman who’s fun at heart.
To get the nail look you need to prep the nails with one coat of ridge filling base coat, followed by two coats of no place like chrome. For an instant dry, drop quick-e onto each nail, and you’re all set to go.
Veronica Beard AW14 was sunset on the strip. Electric guitar blues and golden canyon browns play with whimsical bohemian florals, for a rocker chic look. Architectural leather pieces, abstract jacquard and lace trim tie-up this rhapsody of warmth.
To get the look created for this show, apply one coat of ridge filling base coat to clean, filed nails. Once the base coat dries, apply one coat of mink muffs and let partially dry. Next, apply one coat of meet me at sunset and let completely dry. Complete the look with one coat of good to go top coat.
Dark and futuristic, this season Alexander Wang took a stark approach to femininity with thick textures, deep colours and stiff leathers. A hint of menswear infused the collection, and masculine lines created clean silhouettes.
For this chic neutral look, apply a layer of ridge filling base coat to nails, followed by a coat of sand tropez, layer mademoiselle followed by a coat of matte about you.
Comfort and seduction is central to Altuzarra’s Fall collection. Simplicity in fabrics and colour palette showcase intricately tailored coats and soft silks. Bold pops of colour infuse a dose of playful contrast for women who value luxurious fun.
For this elegant French manicure, apply one coat of ridge filling base coat to nails, followed by allure at the tip. Top off with good to go for high shine.
Rebecca Minkoff AW14 is all about boy meets girl. Structured jackets and coats in felted rich fabrics infuse the collection. A palette of deep berry and evergreen hues add a touch of modern ease to menswear suits and feminine clean lines. Perfect for the girl who loves to wear her boyfriend’s clothes.
For this unique twist on a French manicure, apply one coat of first base coat, followed by two coats of Bahama mama. Layer midnight cami at the tip of the nail, and top it off with good to go top coat to seal the deal.
