Metallic beauty trend with Topshop

Metallic shades have been a strong look for this season, and it’s something we’ll see carry on through to AW14 too.

The Donna Karan AW14 collection was filled with soft flowing pieces contrasted with a gorgeous metallic eye we’ll definitely be trying at home.

Make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury created the look using MAC Eye Kohl and a platinum pigment dabbed around the area to reflect the light. It was punk inspired with a futuristic feel, but if you’re after something a little more subtle, Topshop’s Molten Eyes are perfect, just a small line can make all the difference.

Metallic shades look perfect with tan, and fingers crossed you’re still sporting your summer one, if not fake is the way to go. Metallic varnishes on your toes with a tan will look great, and for a subtle sheen of colour on the face try the cream blushers that can be used on the cheeks, lips and eyes.

Topshop beauty was scoffed at before it launched, but thanks to quality products and a wide range of colours it’s a must-have when we visit the store on the high street or online.
