Summer has finally arrived and it's not just your wardrobe that needs updating for the new season. Check out this top tips for updating your make up routine to suit the sunny weather.....
1.Use a bronzer in the right undertone for you, if you have a warmer tone in your skin go for golden peachy-yellow tones in your bronzer, if you have cooler tones in your skin go for a bronzer with peachy-rose undertones.
2.When applying bronzer dust it lightly over the temples and cheek bones, but avoid using it on your nose, forehead and chin as bronzer should be used to warm the complexion and to add definition to the contours of your face, using it in the middle of the face will flatten the features and as you get warmer through the course of the day the colour can get darker, leaving your skin looking patchy and dirty.
3. Keep brows in perfect shape and keep eye shadow simple using 1 or 2 neutral colours, and use a deep chocolate brown mascara rather than black, this will give an effortless natural, fresh faced look to your make-up.
4.Don’t forget to use a cheek colour: Bronzer will not replace a pretty pop of colour on the cheeks which will mimic a soft flush. Using a creamy cheek colour will give a texture-less dewy skin like look and if you mix a bronzy colour with a rose tone it can give the effect of a very natural sunkissed glow.
5.Lips can be glossy or matte, but keep them sheer, applying colour no matter the finish with your finger will give the lips a groomed but casual feel. For a summer feel try out Prescriptives LipShine in Bellini Fizz, £13.70.
