Lee Stafford and Steve Strange

Lee Stafford and Steve Strange

Lee Stafford is returning to Celebrity Scissorhands Hair & Beauty Academy in aid of this year's BBC Children In Need.

The show attempts to turn celebrities into a team of hair and beauty experts in just three short weeks, in order to raise money for the charity.

Presenter George Lamb is also back to host the hour-long primetime show from inside the Academy in Camden, London.

This year's trainees include The Apprentice’s Lucinda Ledgerwood, Ex EastEnders actress Shana Swash; R&B singer and MOBO nominee Jay Sean and Stedman Pearson from 80’s pop sensation Five Star.

Steve Strange, who appeared in last year's show is also returning to take up his new role as the Academy's Image Consultant. Brave clients will put themselves in Steve's hands if they require a new look.

Any celeb who thinks this will be an easy ride is wrong, because the trainees will be working six days a week and nine hours a day in order to perfect their skills. Willing members of the public will have their treatments tended to by the trainees, and then asked to pay based on what they think it is worth.

All money donated to The Academy goes to BBC Children In Need, whose mission is to positively change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

The celebrity snippers will have their scissor skills put to the test in a spectacular grand finale where a panel of judges will decide which celebrity will be crowned 'Celebrity Scissorhands ‘Hairdresser of the Year 2008'

The show starts Sunday 26th October 2008 on BBC Three.
