Keira Knightley may not have won a BAFTA but she was still a star of the red carpet in a gorgeous Valentino dress and flowing lose curls.
Female First enlisted the help off top hair expert Lisa Shepherd to show you how to steal the look.
Lisa Shepherd is the leading lady of hair colour and has been in the hairdressing industry for over 15 years winning a heap of accolades along the way âand is the colour expert on Channel 4âs 10 Years Younger. Here's her guide to recreating Keira's curls:
The Colour
Keiraâs colour has natural warmth to it and suits her complexion. To get this colour, add a variety of copper shades to avoid looking dull and lifeless which is a common symptom with a lot of brunettes. Having several shades of brown including one darker shade very near your own will make your brown look natural and lively.
This colour requires regular attention to keep looking at its best â you canât let your roots get too big before the next application or you will start to get âcolour bandingâ which is very hard to correct.
The Curls
To get the curls use a curl enhancing cream like OsiS Loopy (£9.50) on damp hair and dry with a Diffuser. This will build curl and volume. For a few defined curls use a tong on the top sections of the hair. To finish mist a little hairspray to keep the curl.
Keiraâs curls look smooth and shiny. To add some shine to curls try a new Nanomax 3D Shine treatment (rrp £20) this will give you 30 days of shine and with anti humidity ingredients will help keep them smooth.
Brown hair is best finished of with a shine treatment like Clynol Illuminate Smoothing Shine Treatment (£8.50) with tiny gold particles to help your hair sparkle and shine
