Katie Holmes thinks straight hair is more elegant.
The 'Dawson's Creek' actress often wears her brunette locks down in a simple, straight style and it has become her signature look because it is effortless yet chic.
She said: "I love doing long and straight hair. It's simple, it's elegant, sophisticated you can wear it with jeans, you can wear it with an evening dress and you feel like you're appropriate for any sort of occasion."
Katie - who has seven-year-old daughter Suri with her ex-husband Tom Cruise - cited her worst-ever hair disaster as the time she ended up with an accidental ombré look.
She reminisced: "I had to dye my hair for a shoot and then I had to dye it back for another shoot and I decided to just let it all grow out so I wouldn't have to keep dyeing it. I wouldn't say it's my best look."
The 35-year-old star - who is a co-owner and ambassador for Alterna Haircare - claims her iconic 2008 bob was the most radical and memorable cut she has ever had.
Katie explained in a video chat with E! News:"This was a big cut for me, doing a bob. I'd always wanted to have one and I enjoyed it."
