Jennifer Lawrence made an impromtu decision before she hit the red carpet last week to chop off her beautiful locks, but we're glad she did.

She looks more beautiful than ever with her new shorter 'do.

To begin, apply ghd style root lift spray from your roots down – this product is great for the whole length of the hair because it adds texture. Blow-dry by flipping your head upside down and use your ghd air on a low speed and low heat. Let gravity help you build your volume.

Once hair is completely dry and volume is perfected, a blast of cold air using the cold shot button on ghd air will give your style an edgy tousled look.

To create the curls I would recommend using the finger pin technique. Firstly wrap 2cm sections of hair round a finger, then remove your finger keeping the hair in a coil. Heat the coil with ghd eclipse® for 4-6 seconds for a perfect finger curl. (For larger waves follow the steps above, but wrap 3-4cm sections of hair round your finger instead.) Once the curls are created, shake your head from side to side to let them fall naturally, then use your fingers to comb through the curls to break them up.
