Audrey Hepburn is one of the biggest screen icons of the last century and her beauty is still admired today. Female First help you capture her Hollywood glamour by recreating her most famous hairstyle.
The shimmering chignon worn by Audrey in Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of the most iconic hairstyles in film history. Celebrity stylist Jonathan Long gave TV presenter Holly Willoughby this gorgeous up do for the latest Schwarzkopf Gliss campaign.
Jonathan told us how to recreate the stunning look at home.
- 1.) For the classic Audrey look, set your hair in heated Carmen rollers, creating as much lift as possible by winding the hair backwards from the front to the back
- 2.) Leave the rollers to cool and then remove each one slowly Brush out the hair and backcomb fully to create as much volume as possible
- 3.) Take the main section of hair and twist into a French pleat, making sure the sides are smooth and flat
- 4.) Take the top sections and wrap, pinning up to create maximum volume
- 5.) Finish with a misting of Gliss Shine Tonic to make the style look really smooth and sleek
Schwarzkopf Gliss Style Consultant, Jonathan Long, adds: âThe iconic hairstyles worn by Hollywoodâs silver screen icons such as Audrey Hepburn always remain classc, fashionable looks. Audrey Hepburnâs infamous chignon is easily re-recreated at home and is such a stunning style for both day and night â diamante clips being optional. The key to this look is keeping the hair sleek and shiny, so a shine spray such as Gliss Shine Tonic is essential for getting that perfect sheen.â
