Queen Marie Antoinette was a fashion icon of her time, constantly pioneering new hair styles; each magnificent structure would hold various objects and scenes that held personal meaning.
When you need to add a little oomph to your everyday style or create a sky-high look for a special event, adding hair volume at the crown is the perfect way to go. There are a few tricks and tools to help you create the perfect personal look.
You will need: A sponge, pins/grips, hair spray, brush, hair accessories (feathers, pearls) and a hair piece (found at www.tatianahairextensions.co.uk)
Step one: A piece of foam or sponge is needed as a base for different bouffant hair styles. Place the sponge on top of the head, secure with pins and add a little hair spray for extra hold
Step two: Start backcombing the hair around the attachment and put it all up around the sponge covering it completely. If the natural hair is too short, a clip in piece comes in handy. The ends of the hair should then meet on top. Fix the ends with a delicate hair accessory
Step three: If you would like to add an extra oomph you can use a clip in ponytail, attach it in the back, plait it with a string of pearls (found at any haberdashery), place it across one shoulder for more elegant and sophisticated look
