Jaeger's London Fashion Week look was all about sculpture and maximum impact so obviously the models needed some bold hairstyles to match. Stylist Sam McKnight told us how he got that catwalk perfect look
"Inspired by the clothes and the likes of Julie Christy and the 1970âs era of big hair the hairstyle was soft yet voluminous and dramatic with deep side partings, masses of volume and texture that resulted in a look of graphic moderninity which brought to life the English heritage that Jaeger is so well known for," expalins Sam McKnight, Pantene Pro-V global brand ambassador
Re-create the look at home with these simple tips from Sam:
Step 1: Work some hair mousse, through hair with a wide tooth comb and roughly blow-dry. The mousse will give this style lift, hold and bounce.
Step 2: Once hairs is dry, create a straight deep side parting dividing hair into sections. Then spray sections of the hair with hairspray- like Pantene Pro-V Classic Hairspray- and wind hair around medium sized curling tongs roll it to the roots secure the curl with clip.
Step 3: Once all hair is wound and clipped, leave to cool down before removing clips. Once set, remove clips section by section and brush out curls gently. Then back comb each section starting at 2 inches above the scalp using a fine-toothed comb and gently push the hair towards and up the hair shaft to create supersized texture.
Step 4: Tie hair with a slim hair band in a pony tail two inches from the ends. Place the remaining hair into a hairnet and shape into a log.
Roll the hairnet up and under the hair and pin into place. Be careful not to flatten hair as this style is intended to look angular and texturised. Finish the look with a blast of hairspray and gently smooth any hair with a paddle brush behind your ear.
