We've looked at protecting your hair against the cold this winter but how about looking after your locks when it rains?
Our first reaction generally is to cry when we've just finished straightening our hair to perfection, only to find that as soon as we step out into the wet, it turns to a frizz ball.
Once the rain actually hits your hair it becomes lank, flat and just a little bit sad, and no amount of hurried hair drying will rescue it.
Your best bet it to not let it get wet in the first place, but that is easier said than done.
If it does get a tiny bit wet, then there are some measures you can take before hand to ensure that it isn't completely ruined.
Firstly concentrate you giving it as much body as you can, so spritz with volume spray around the crown before fixing it in place with big Velcro rollers.
Leave your hair to 'set' for around ten minutes before blasting your hair with a cool setting on your hairdryer.
Finally release you hair from the rollers and gently comb through, taking care not to take too much of the bounce out of it.
It's also pretty good if you remember to pack an umbrella too, as prevention is much better than cure after all!
