Yes, no more costly trips to the hairdresser, no more having to worry about re-growth, and no more inventing clever ways to mask that horrendous inch of black.
Even celebrities are getting in on the act and letting their natural hair shine through, with Fergie showcasing a new brunette look complete with red roots.
While Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Kidman sported grey roots not so long ago as well, sparking a new trend that us fashion savvy females can actually get on board with.
Famous blondes like Sienna Miller and Madonna are also fans of leaving their roots on show a little longer than is perhaps considered necessary, but so what?! they still look stunning.
This new way of thinking is undoubtedly influenced by the 80s making a huge fashion comeback this summer, where chavtastic black roots were the height of sophistication.
Topshop Unique captured the look to a tee with their SS09 show, showcasing retro shoulder pads, hair scarves and white boots, alongside bright blonde hair and dark roots.
As we head into a summer of neon brights and whitewash denim, this is a look worth bearing in mind, as you can hide your re-growth with a head scarf, or just take then plunge and grow it out.
Either way, sporting a root-free look this summer is not the kind of fashion statement you want to make; hurrah!
