Cheryl's tousled waves are a must have for the summer months

It's all about texture this season, so forget about dull, flat and lifeless hair and embrace the glamazon experience, which channels the Bridget Bardot look of the 60s, combined with the modern day style of fashion favourite Cheryl Cole.

The 'dome woman' look made its first appearance on the catwalks last year for the autumn collections, but this season it has evolved to include celebrity followers like Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore and Sharon Stone.

Last night's Grammy and BAFTA awards gave us some amazing hair inspiration, with most leading ladies opting for textured tresses, styled either up or down.

Angelina's backcombed wave look was inspired, despite her horrible dress choice and Katy Perry's tousled locks were gorgeous too, again despite the obvious dress disaster at the Grammy's.

Sharon Stone's hair on the other hand looked like a throwback to the 80s with her backcombed disaster. Despite looking youthful in her choice of gown and make-up, her hair was an example of how not to do texture and it aged her even more.

Big hair has always been considered glamorous and for the summer combining this with some tousled waves will create a really relaxed yet refined style.

Miley Cyrus has been rocking this look of late, signaling a style for the younger generation, while Cheryl Cole has been showing a more polished bouffant style for the older ladies to inspire too.

Drew Barrymore's look at the Golden Globes was extreme textured styling at its best, paying homage to the golden age of Hollywood.

Although not a look for everyday life, her style should be attempted at least once in your life just to see if you can do golden glam like Drew!
