You thought you'd heard it all before, but a collagen shot, designed to increase the pleasure around the female G-spot, is being launched in the UK.

The G-Shot takes under half an hour and is given under local anasthetic. It temporarily enlarges the G-spot to around the size of a 10p coin in width and a quarter of an inch in height.

The procedure is said to make it easier to locate and enhances its sensitivity, which could increase arousal and gratification.

But it isn't cheap with at around £800 with the results lasting around four months.

The UK Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Centre in London's Harley Street claims it is the first in the UK to offer the jab.

It has been available in America, with records showing around 40 women a month having the jab in LA. Just five women have had the procedure in the UK so far.

Linda Cardozo, a Professor of Gynaecology at King's College Hospital in London told BBC's Newsbeat that she wasn't even sure whether the G-spot exists.

She said: "If there was a G-spot, women who've had surgery on the vaginal wall wouldn't be able to have orgasms and we know that's not true.

"My advice to anyone who's thinking about having the G shot is - a good holiday would be a better use of their money and probably improve their sex lives more."

There can be side effects including bleeding, bladder pains and blood in the urine.

But perhaps more worryingly is the sensation of being sexually aroused all the time.

If this does become the latest lunchtime craze, how will anyone get any work done in the afternoons?
