Allison Williams is the newest face of Simple Skincare helping to break it through to the American market.
The Girls actress has landed the contract which includes a full-length television advert, according to People magazine.
She said: “I do have sensitive skin, actually, and it’s been really hard to find products that don’t make it inflames, or red or dry, or make it break out.
“It’s really complicated, but I’ve learned that it’s the case for more people than not. I don’t know how many people have unproblematic skin – that’s rare.”
The British skincare brand entered the US market for the first time last year, and with a huge star like Allison fronting the campaign it’s only going to grow.
Allison continued: “When I fly, halfway through the flight, I like to give myself a face wash. I just sit there and turn toward the window and use a wipe.”
She explained that for her job as an actress, and for most women, the only thing you can control about what you put on your skin is what you put on your face at the beginning of the day and what you do when you take your make-up off.
“Otherwise, it’s affected by stress, make-up artists, weather, pollution. The great thing about Simple products is that they protect you against those things – you can wipe it all off at the end of the day.”
