Fresh faced beauty is favoured for festivals

Festival season is almost upon us people and I'm a seasoned festival goer having looked after a plethora of musicians and presenters performing including Fearne Cotton, Laura Whitmore, Gemma Cairney, Reggie Yates, Greg James and Jason Derulo.

Remember that long lasting, multi tasking and travel size products are festival heroes so to ensure you are glam at Glastonbury and ready for Reading, here are my top ten festival tips and products.

Justine Jenkins shares her top tips

SPF - The English weather is so unpredictable so pack for all seasons. SPF is essential, even if rain is forecast. Red, sore skin is not a good look and burning your skin increases your risk of skin Cancer. Murad offer both a hydrating and an oil free SPF cream so you can choose depending on your skin type - genius! Or double up and pack a foundation with added SPF like Bare Minerals Ready Foundation SPF 20 or Urban Decay's Urban Defense Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20. Add a hat for extra sun protection, which can also be worn to keep you warm when the sun goes down.

Wipes - I don't usually advocate wipes to cleanse skin but if you know you aren't going to use your tried and tested favourite, then these will be your best friend. To avoid breakouts choose a really good natural brand free of chemicals like NYR Organic Facial Wipes

Break outs - So if you're not maintaining a good skincare routine (and lets face it, who does at a festival), you're skin can break out and you are going to need a quick remedy. The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Blemish Stick's anti- bacterial properties not only treat spots, but can be used on insect bites and cuts. A great multi-tasker.

Hydration - Liz Earle's Instant Boost Skin Tonic spray is always in my kit. Not only does it keep your skin hydrated on hot days, a spritz wakes you up after a night of partying and it smells divine. Tip - if you take a cool bag, keep it in there for an extra refreshing treat.

Anti-bacterial - Festivals are fun but let's face it, they're not always the cleanest of environments. Pack a good anti bacterial hand gel when soap and water is scarce. Boots anti bacterial instant hand cleaner is always in my kit and gets used by everyone.

Glitter - Anything goes at a festival no matter what your age. Be bold and have a play with glitter eyeliners. The Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liners have a fun selection of colours for all you sparkle loving ladies and can used as an eyeliner for a dramatic effect or dabbed all over the eyelid either over eye shadow or on its own.

Bright lips - If you are a no fuss festival goer and want to spend your time watching bands rather than putting on make up, try just wearing just a bright lipstick. It'll give you instant glamour for very little effort. Some of my faves are Hourglass Velvet Creme Lipstick in Fever and Muse or Megatint Longwear Lip Colour in Cerise by Smashbox.

Hangover cure - If you've overdone it and need to get back out there pogoing to your favourite bands, you'll need Boots rehydration sachets. They restore natural salt and fluid balance and so help to aid a quick recovery. Stila's Convertible Colour in Gerbera or Petunia will lift the skin, give a natural looking sheen and hide that hangover! A pair of sunglasses and you'll be ready to go.

Fixing Spray - whether the sun is shining or the rain is pelting down (highly likely!) your make up will need extra help to stay put. Urban Decays All Nighter make up setting spray will keep you're make up looking fresh as a daisy. And it comes in a perfect festival friendly travel size too!

Hair - Treat yourself to a professional blow dry if you can before you go, as it'll keep your hair looking good longer. On the days between washes, use Fudge's Dry Shampoo or Kevin.Murphy's Fresh Hair to absorb oil, give body and keep your hair smelling sweet. Emi-Jay hair ties are always in my festival kit. They are ingenious hair bands that are designed so you can tie your hair up on hot days without denting the hair. Perfect.

The best tip of all is to have fun!
