With all these skyscraper heels being proclaimed as fashion must-haves, our feet as well as our wallets are going to be feeling the pinch.
But fear not! FemaleFirst is at hand with some feet fixing solutions, so that your feet are pampered and cared for during the party season.
There's nothing more unattractive than bunions or flaky feet, and it's more common than you would think. We all neglect our feet from time to time, especially when we squeeze our tootsies into tiny shoes, all in the name of fashion.
To be honest, if they invented the perfect pair of party slippers, I'm sure we'd all leap at the chance to have a night off from the excruciating pain.
But until that time, here are some short-term feet fixing solutions...
Botanics Overnight Cream, £5.99
Feet can often become over dry, which in turn can lead to cracked or rough skin. The best solution is to treat your feet in an overnight cream to really let the moisture soak in. We've found Botanics Overnight Foot Rescue Cream that claims to work overnight to refresh tired feet. Lather it on, making sure to massage it deep into your heels, soles and toes and leave to soak in overnight.
Scholl Party Feet, £4.95
Ah, the classic. Scholl's sales must go through the roof this time of year, what with all the Christmas party invites starting to come through, and lets be honest, flats are just not an option. These gel cushions work best when you've been in your heels for a while, and you're just starting to feel that burning pain in the balls of your feet. Slip the cushions into your shoes and feel almost instant relief! They're ultra-slim, reusable and washable, so for under a fiver, they're pretty full-proof.
Bliss softening Socks, £36
This is quite an expensive option, so maybe if your feet are really damaged it's time to invest in these softening socks. The socks contain a unique moisture-gel padding, that promises to leave your feet looking flaw-free in no time. They're especially great if you're in a rush, as in 20 minutes they can do a lot of good to your damaged feet.
Body Shop Foot Massager, £10
It may look slightly like a torture device, but keep this foot massager to hand when your tootsies feel really tired and achy. Simply roll over your feet until you feel some of the tension start to ease. It may look strange, but if it does the job, who cares?!
