This week we're taking a closer look at the organic and eco-friendly alternatives out there to compare to your everyday hair and beauty routine.
You'd be surprised at how many different options there are now on the market, as we all become more aware of our carbon footprint.
We have already been warned what harmful chemicals are in some of our favourite products and yet we still carry on using them. Going completely eco is a scary thought, but making small changes in our lives will amount to a big change in the long run.
We've found some funky eco-brands out there for you to try out...
Greenpeople Eco Shimmer Lipstick, £9.95, Greenpeople
These certified organic lipsticks are especially formulated to protect and soften your lips. They come in four shimmering colours to suit all complexions and all without the use of carmine or cochineal. They are not suitable for use by Vegans, however.
Nvey Eco Liquid Foundation, £21.95, Naturismo
This foundation claims to feel as light as a tinted moisturiser but with all the coverage of a foundation, plus they promise a silky glow too! Chamomile, Cucumber and organic Calendula are among the ingredients in this nourishing and aromatic liquid foundation.
Sante Eco Mascara, £12.95, Sante at Soorganic
This mascara comes in both black and brown and is certified as a genuine natural cosmetic product. It claims to separate, plump-up and lengthen each lash, without any flakiness. Suncoat Sugar-based styling spray, £9.55, Suncoat
This product is suitable for all hair types and is also enriched with Vitamin E. It's free of petrochemicals, increases body and provides lasting medium hold for your day. It is fragrance and alcohol-free and can be applied to dry or damp hair.
Greenpeople Moisturising Hair Shampoo, £9.50, Greenpeople
This moisturising shampoo uses natural oils to moisturise your hair and scalp and claims to leave it easy to manage and tangle free. It says that it also lasts longer than most conventional shampoos, because with this formula, a little goes a long way.
BiOrganic Hair Therapy Range, prices start from £5.99, BiOrganic
Their range of hair care includes a deep conditioning option which provides essential moisture and nutrition to severely over-processed or damaged hair. They use a special vegetable protein formula, reinforced with a complex mix of herbs and oils.
