What do you use to remove your make-up?

What do you use to remove your make-up?

Removing your make-up no longer needn't be a task you dread, thanks to the latest must-haves in the beauty world - cleansing balms.

Once you've tried a balm you're going to be a total convert, thanks to the luxurious deep down cleaning and the squeaky clean skin you're left with.

You need the tiniest amount of product, rub it between your fingers and then apply to dry skin and massge in to ensure your face is covered. Then apply some warm water and massage in again so the product emulsifies and melts away.

You can just use your fingers and water to remove the product, but if you're after a deep down clean and want some gentle exfoliation a cloth to remove is highly recommended.

Now, on to the save and splurge part. Cleansing balms can be expensive, but we've managed to find a reasonable priced one, from Merumaya that not only works but is under £15.

Quite a difference to the much-loved Elemis pro-collagen offering which retails at £39.50.

First up, the Merumaya offering.

This product is deeply cleansing, doesn't leave a residue and helps to remove all make-up, even stubborn mascara.

Thanks to the Sweet Almond Oil, skin isn't stripped and defintiely doesn't feel dry or tight after use.

This is available to buy from John Lewis and www.merumaya.com.

Next up, the much raved about Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm.

This product most definitely live up to the hype that followed it, within the first week of sales 10,000 units were sold.

This balm smells gorgeous, actually preferred this to the Merumaya version.

Again this is amazing at removine make-up, dirt and grime, and skin feels nourished after use.

This one retails at £39.50 and is available from a number of different stockists.
