Cheryl Cole, Katy Perry and Madonna already know that big eyelashes make a statement and this winter we're all set to become addicted to traffic stopping lashes.
There are tons of mascaras out there which claim to give us a 'gravity defying curl' or 'false lash effect' but in reality the only way to get a true celebrity lash look is to invest in some extensions.
Many women are nervous about applying false lashes themselves, however there are so many products on the market at the minute that there is certain to be one out there that you can work with.
The simplest way to experiment in the world of lash extensions is to try applying lash strips. They come in all different lengths, thickness' and even colours and all you need to do is apply a line of glue to the edge and whack it over your natural lashes. Easy peasy!
Girls Aloud have created their own line of strip lashes, with each girl designing their own different style. They are available from loads of highstreet stores including Superdrug and New Look and prices start from a bargain £4.50!
However strip lashes don't always fit exactly to your eyeshape and will easily fall off- so if you want a real natural effect then individual lashes are the way forward.
They can be tricky to apply and may make your eyes feel itchy at first but if you stick with it you will soon get used to them and will be able to apply them at home with confidence.
We love Eyelure's Ultra Individual Lashes, £4.85. They are really natural looking and each pack contains a range of lengths so you can easily match them to your own lashes.
Finally if you want a real long lasting results then you can have semi-permanent lashes applied at a beauty salon. Hollywood Lashes have to be professionally applied but you can choose the effect you want and they last up to three months. Each application costs around £50 and you may need to go back to have them patched up from time to time but it's the perfect solution if you can't be bothered to fiddle around yourself.
