Jason Donovan loves his sheep-skin boots!

Are you standing up? If so you may want to sit down, as this latest news may shock you to your very core- wearing soft, comfy boots could be potentially bad for your feet.

That's right, after they warned us off high-heels, flat shoes and ballerina pumps, they are now telling us that our beloved UGGs could be bad for our health.

What's next- slippers coming with a health warning? Seriously we may as well go bare foot everywhere, after every form of shoe has been declared as a health hazard.

This new warning has come from some podiatrists, who have suggested that wearing sheepskin footwear too much, increases the risk of athletes foot and ankle sprains. Oh dear lord, that's it girls, chuck your snuggly boots away and break out the heels again, we say if this is true.

Any shoe that allows the foot to sweat (so basically every shoe out there) increases the chance of getting athlete's foot, but if you (wait for it) allow your boot to dry out each time after use, you should be fine...

Oh and because boots don't really provide that much support, you're more likely to sprain your ankle too. Your likely to sprain your ankle on an icy day in flat shoes if your unlucky, so will this really put us off wearing our booties?

We doubt it to be honest, what with the snow causing havoc with our footwear at the moment, and snow boots back at the top of the fashion hot list.

Are the experts just being a bit OTT with their warnings or do they have a point- what do you think?
