A poll by Fabriah.com revealed that Beyoncé is the top hair icon of the last decade. The hair experts gathered 10 celebrates they consider to be hair icons and asked the public to vote in their poll, asking who they thought the biggest hair icon was.
Beyoncé won the poll with 20% of the public believing the ‘Single Ladies’ star is the biggest hair icon of the decade.
One participator said: “Beyoncé has been a hair icon of mine for such a long time; in fact I would go as far as saying she has never had a bad hair style. I would love to know how much she spends and what products she uses to keep her hair looking that good.”
Closely following Beyoncé is David Beckham with 18% of the votes; however what is most surprising in the poll is the 6th winner, Mayor of London, Boris Johnson.
A man who took part in the survey commented: “I voted for Boris as my hair icon – he goes to show that you don’t need to be perfectly groomed or spend a fortune on your hair to become a hair icon. Everyone thinks of David Beckham as being the ultimate male style icon, however, not everyone is blessed with his natural good looks and his bulging bank balance.”
But how did Fabriah.com decide who to put in their poll in the first place? Well, according to Francesca Davies, employee at Fabriah.com, it’s all about keeping track on the ever-changing hairstyles of the stars over the years.
Francesca explained: “Every single person in our top ten could be recognised purely by their hair alone.”
