Karlie Kloss shows off a stunning bold red lip
The red lip is synonymous with this time of year, and a favourite of women all over the world. A slick of red lipstick and you look instantly more glamorous, it’s a must have beauty look isn’t it?
The red lip was once again seen on numerous runways during AW13 and once again we’ve fallen for the bold look.
This time though, as can be seen at Kenneth Cole and Marni, the red lip has had an upgrade with a 3-Dimensional effect.
Layering several shades of red to create a 3D look packed a serious punch at Emporio Armani.
The best tips here are to wear a lighter shade in the middle of the lips and blend out into darker in the corners as this will give the effect of fuller lips. Don’t forget to finish with a Lipcote or something similar to seal the colour in – it’s a high maintence look and you won’t want it budging whilst you’re out enjoying yourself.
A simple one-colour red lip is never going to date either though, so stick to this if you plan on reapplying throughout the day/night. A much more fuss-free look.
Like always, when applying lipstick follow these tips and you’ll have a picture perfect pout.
Use an old toothbrush before you start to get rid of any dry skin on the lips. Then line the lips with a colour that’s similar or the same to the lipstick.
Use a brush to apply the lipstick for a better and more finished look, blot after the first and second layer to ensure maximum staying power.
