We're nearing the end of January, so the chances are that you've already given up on your New Year Resolution.
But, these things listed are vital stuff that you should be doing to maintain your beauty - not just trying them for a few weeks in the New Year.
So, here are our pick of the top five things that you should instantly make a change to in your beauty routine.
Trust me, you'll thank us down the line.
Resolution One
Use hand cream daily - our hands are often left feeling a little neglected, and when you consider how much you use them it's ridiculous. Use an anti-ageing hand cream to keep them looking youthful for years to come.
If you're looking for a scare story, take a look at Madonna and Sarah Jessica Parker's hands - you'll be lathering on the stuff.
Top Tip: Keep it on the nightstand and apply every night before you get into bed, make it a routine and you won't forget.
Resolution Two
Use SPF daily - protecting your skin, even in the winter, will see you looking youthful for years to come. It's not hard to do these days either. Look in any Boots, Superdrug or department store and you'll find them lined with rows and rows of moisturisers with SPF already in them. Some foundations even come with it in built. There really is no excuse.
Resolution Three
Get your hair cut more often - this is a cardinal rule, especially for those with longer hair. With all of the styling products we use, straightners, tongs, hairdryers, etc. our hair becomes easily dried out and split ends start to appear. These leave hair looking lifeless and dull. Get it trimmed every 6-8 weeks and you'll see a big difference.
Top Tip: Let your hair dry naturally at least once a week. It's easy to forget how much damage our hair dryers are doing to it.
Resolution Four
Tan safely - there's nothing worse for our skin than the sun beds, yet we're still using them. Stop now. There are so many fake tan products out there, you're certain to find one to suit you and your skin. Joan Collins attributes her ageless look to never letting her face catch the sun and it's hard to believe that she's in her seventies.
Top Tip: Always use gloves to apply the tan, you'll be thankful when you're not scrubbing three layers of skin off your hands the next day when your fingers resemble Wotsits.
Resolution Five
Use a body brush - you'll get the blood circulating and it will leave your skin feeling super smooth. Using a dry brush has also been found to help reduce the look of cellulite. Introduce it at least once a week to your routine and try to aim to do it every time before you get in the shower. You don't have to stand there for hours scrubbing down though, a quick five minutes and you'll start to see and feel the difference.
