Blinc Mascara, £18

Blinc Mascara, £18

We're putting long lasting beauty products  to the test and first up is Blinc Mascara.

Blinc claims to " form tiny tubes around your lashes rather than painting them like conventional mascaras" which apparently means it won't smudge, rub off or crumble.

The Female First beauty tester team coudn't wait to put this one to the test........

The mascara brush was long and wide making application really easy and making sure each one of our lashes got a decent coating.

The initial look was nice and dark and lashes did appear slightly longer and more defined than before- but to be honest, not anymore than with cheaper products than this £18 luxury buy.

As for thickness- lashes looked thinner if anything. They did seperate really well but we would still have liked them to be a bit fuller for a real false lash effect.

Blinc mascara was definitely water resistant and didnt even come off after a shower. Once dried it didn't smudge. However it did claim not to crumble but we spotted some mascara crumbs in the outside corners of our eyes after a few hours wear.

So to sum up- if you're planning on doing an underwater photoshoot or taking part in a surfing competition then Blinc's water resistance is perfect, however if you're looking for a good all round mascara we suggest you save your £18 and buy several lower priced, equally as good, ones.

Blinc mascara is available at Just Beauty Direct for £16.15.
