Roberto Cavalli used this look on his catwalks this year and it’s a nice, refreshing way of giving a statement without using blacks, greys and browns.
The first step to creating this look is to cover the eyes in a gold shimmer, Benefit Velvet Eyeshadow in Fawn Over Me is great for this.
Once you’ve done that, it’s time to apply the green shadow. Dainty Doll Eyeshadow in 008 Jungle is perfect for this, it’s bright and has a good shimmer to it. Apply it to the middle of the top lid and a little beneath the eye.
It’s now time to apply the blue shadow. Take your brush and apply the shadow at the outer corner of your eye. Apply as much as you see fit to suit the darkness you’re going for, and then apply to the corner of eye closest to the bridge of your nose. This elongates the eye and gives a really nice smokey look. MAC Eyeshadow in Nautical Navy works well for this.
Lastly, finish off with a bit of Rimmel Mascara and you’re good to go!
