It's been around for 100 years, with Victoria Beckham, Eva Longoria and Jessica Alba all modelling the look but how do 'bob' haircuts manage to still look so good.
The style has been around since the First World War when woman choose it to keep their grooming routine to a minimum. It's popularity continued into the 1920s with the flapper style and then Vidal Sasson's Twiggy take on the style saw it last through the 1960s to today.
To get your bob looking sleek wash hair with volumising shampoo and before you dry apply serum to the middle and ends of the hair to create shine. Avoid putting serum on the roots as it can make hair greasy.
Use a hairdryer with a diffuser attachment and a round bristle brush when drying hair. This will help create volume. For maximum root lift put rollers along your parting while blow drying.
If you really need to use straighteners on your hair, and lets face it most of us do, then give it a spritz of heat protection spray beforehand.
Finally add hairspray to make sure your bob stays put in the blustery January weather.
