As the weather changes (fingers crossed) so does our beauty bag. We have to adapt to the new climate by changing the clothes we wear and the products we use.
Here we have the run down of the new products that must be added to your summer essential kit.
Hair
The high humidity can leave our hair feeling a little more dirty than usual. Rather than washing it more often try a dry shampoo that will leave your locks feeling refreshed and with an added bonus of body - what more can you ask for? Batiste have a new smell that is perfect for summer, the coconut and exotic tropical scent will leave you with happy memories of trips abroad. Prices start from £1.55.
Bronzer
Hopefully our skin will have caught a little bit of sun, so using bronzer can help to highlight this colour. Use it effectively to contour the face, giving you enviable cheekbones to rival the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Our choice has to be Guerlain's Terracotta Bronzing Powder, the moisturising powder leaves no lines but only a radiant tan - expect to never be parted from this once tried. £37
Blusher
Peach blusher is the only colour to use during the summer months. It instantly warms up the skin tone, without even having to use any bronzing powder. The best item for a quick-fix or if you only have a couple of minutes to put on your make-up. MAC cosmetics have the perfect shade, called Peaches, £17.
Nail Varnish
Each season we're introduced to the new colour that we must be wearing on our nails. And over the past couple of seasons we have come to find that, that colour is dictated by Chanel - it has yet to change. Yellow nails are an instant mood lifter, looking at the colour makes you think of the sun shining. Plus, it gives the illusion of longer nails. Try their Mimosa shade for the perfect manicure. £17
If you've had too much sun though, try a shade of blue which works its magic and manages to diffuse the red tones in your skin, making you look less sun damaged. Barry M's Blueberry Ice Cream is a pastel shade that's perfect. £2.99
Lipstick
The only colour to be seen wearing on your lips is orange. It may seem a little out there but if you pick the right shade it will give you a radiant glow, that you won't want to leave behind the next time you step out of the door. MAC have done it again with their ultimate shade called MOrange, £13.50.
Moisturiser
It's recommended to use a SPF moisturiser all-year round, but make sure that you definitely do during summer: any SPF in your make-up will only protect you for about 15 minutes. Try the celebrity favoured Eau Thermale Avéne Very High Protection dream SPF 50+ for guaranteed protection all day long. £13.50 available at Boots.
