Yes, we're going overboard on green today, after all it's the one time of the year where we can completely let loose and experiment with some different make-up looks.
Now, while some will paint their faces and introduce large glitter shamrocks to their faces, we're going to take a more fashionable approach and show you how green make-up can be trendy, using St. Patrick's Day as inspiration.
Rimmel's new face Sophie Ellis Bextor rocked a gorgeous look for her Murder On The Dance floor video, combining green glittery eyes and red lippy, which on paper shouldn't work, but we loved it!
Why not recreate a similar look today, as you can be as dramatic as you like, but still look ready for a night on the town. If you're not brave (or stupid) enough to give green lippy or blusher a go, then why not start with the basics- your eyes.
We love Rimmel's Colour Mousse Eye shadow, which blends in really well on your eyelid and isn't too dramatic if you don't want to go all out with this look. Try it in Splash to begin with, as this is a subtle aqua shade that won't instantly stand out, unless you want it to of course.
Green eyeliner is a great alternative to boring black and looks amazing on brown eyes. Our top tip is to apply below the lower lash line as well, to get a really dramatic effect. Give Rimmel's New Exaggerate Automatic Waterproof Eye Definer in Emerald Sparkle a whirl.
Coloured mascara is also a fab alternative to standard black and really makes your eyes stand out. Go for a dark shade of green if you want to just add it as a finishing touch, but if you really want to make an impact, opt for an aqua shade that will hang off your lashes and give it a real butterfly flutter effect.
If you really don't fancy trying something new with your eyes, then why not just get into the spirit by painting your nails instead? Opt for a dark shade of green for a really sophisticated and glam look, or glitter it up to the max with Rimmel's Green with Envy 60 second nail polish.
'I love Lasting Finish' from Rimmel is our new number 1 fave, in terms of nail polishes, and we're just a tad in love with their Green Grass colour, so why not give it a go this St. Paddy's Day.
